Tavora Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Tavora: Capture & Sweep for iPhone handles information. The app has no advertising, in-app purchases, wagering or cash prizes. Offline practice does not require an online profile.
On this device
Practice progress, local results, sound, haptics, reduced-motion preference and similar settings stay on your iPhone. Anonymous online sign-in credentials, if created, are stored in the iOS Keychain on this device. We do not ask for your real name, email, phone, contacts, GPS location or advertising identifier.
Optional online profile
If you choose Daily rankings, Tavora creates an anonymous account. You do not provide an email address or password. We store the anonymous account identifier, chosen nickname, random numeric suffix and optional country or region label. Country is a label you select; the app does not read device location or request location permission. Do not use your real name or private information as a nickname.
Rankings, reports and hosted data
Ranked Daily play needs a network connection. We send profile and ranked game actions to a hosted Supabase service so the server can issue the deal, verify moves and show the board. Typical hosted records include:
- anonymous account identifier and generated suffix
- public nickname and optional country or region
- ranked actions, timestamps and verified results
Your nickname, suffix, optional country and verified scores can appear on the leaderboard. Practice games stay on the device unless you use ranked Daily.
On another player’s row, Report name & hide sends your account identifier, the reported profile identifier, a name-abuse reason and a timestamp for review. Reports are private. A successful report also hides that profile on this device. Hide this profile changes only your local list and does not send a report. A report does not itself remove the profile for everyone. Authorised operators can review reports and hide or suspend profiles.
Supabase and network infrastructure may process connection information, including IP addresses and operational logs, to operate and secure the service.
Data we do not collect
- no payments or purchase history
- no precise location or GPS
- no contacts, photos or microphone access for play
- no advertising SDK, cross-app tracking or analytics SDK
Your choices and deletion
- Choose Play offline on the welcome screen to practise without an online profile.
- Edit your public nickname in the app.
- Use Settings → Delete Online Account to request removal of the current online account and associated profile and ranked game records. Stay connected until deletion is confirmed.
- A local reset clears device data and does not delete an online account.
- Uninstalling the app removes its local container according to iOS and does not by itself request server deletion.
Retention
Local data remains until you reset it or remove the app. Online profiles and ranked records remain until account deletion, or while the ranking service is operated. Operational logs follow the hosted service configuration. Communications use HTTPS.
Children
Tavora is a general-audience card game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect contact information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date. Store privacy labels are updated to match actual collection.
